Good at first May 12, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I had this switch for about 2 weeks. Excellent picture quality thru switch with no signal loss, infact I think it made the picture clearer without even using the signal enhancer. Everything else I have to say about this product goes downhill from here. My Oppo 970 dvd player wouldn't work with this switch at first. It only works when the hdmi cable is plugged into the switch half way! And you have to spend a good 30-60min tweaking the cable so it goes in just right or forget it. You will be stuck with a fuzzing screen. Tried all ports. Same thing. The last straw for me is when the TV picture wouldn't work anymore watching cable. This thing actually blew out the HDMI port on my TV and I can't watch anything now even when the cablebox & upconvert dvd player plugged directly into the TV. I am now forced to use component cables to view HD content thanks to this piece of junk since my 1 yr TV warranty expired by only a couple of months. Make sure you still have a warranty or a backup HDMI port on your TV when using this device.
It works OK ! March 4, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was a bit reluctant before buying this because is cheaper than other switches and cheap often means mediocre. I am glad I got it because for me it works OK. I don't really need to switch that much but when I do everything works as it should. I don't see any picture degradation because of this switch.
Pretty Good Product November 11, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm using this with a Cablevision set-top box using a DVI-HDMI cable, Sony DVD player (HDMI-HDMI) and a Sony HDTV (has DVI port, so DVI-HDMI cable) and it has worked very well. Once in a while I will get no video on HD channels, but this Switch has a Signal Enhancer which when I activate it, it solves the problem.
Works, sort of October 22, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
When it works it functions fine, but I get some funky color inversion when I switch between inputs, fairly often (picture has lots of purple). Power cycling the unit fixes the issue.
I'm wondering if the R G B is being messed up as Y Cb Cr.
