5 out of 5 stars just try me   November 16, 2008
stop looking for yardage markers you have all you need now
you can down load 10 courses at once. every course i want to play is listed.others you have to e mail and they will map for you this is not the case i cant imagine golf without it

4 out of 5 stars Good Value, Good Product   October 29, 2008
I have used this all summer. Pros; It gives front, back, and middle green distances. It is accurate most of the time. Courses get updated regularly, and it does speed up play. When accuracy is questionable yardage markers prevail, but those issues don't come up too often. I have found it to be a reliable performer. Now the question is, are you good enough to land those distances? Cons; The only real issue I have is battery replacement- about 3 rounds. Otherwise, a very good product at a very good price

5 out of 5 stars great reader   October 19, 2008

5 out of 5 stars GolfLogix GPS works well after software update   September 23, 2008
I bought a GolfLogix GPS, based on positive reviews. Initially, I downloaded only my home course (for free) to test the unit. It worked quite well, although there were a few glitches, which I fixed with a reset.

I then subscibed to the download service and downloaded a number of course in preparation for a golf outing to the US mainland. (I live in Hawaii). On the first course the unit failed miserably, giving me a yardage of 980 yards off the first tee. I could not even turn the unit off without removing one of the batteries. The same thing happened on three other courses in California. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and upset.

When I returned to Hawaii, I contacted GolfLogix Customer Support. They analyzed the problem as having something to do with my Windows XP. They gave me a number to call to have a technician walk me through the process of installing a software update. The technician was competent and patient. After the fix, the unit has been working flawlessly on my home course. I can't wait to take it on another trip to the mainland.

5 out of 5 stars Happy User.   September 15, 2008
