Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Here from RAM is an excellent solution at an affordable price. This dual socket mount will pivot and rotate to the angle needed. Using a screw adjustment you can lock it in place once the desired angle is found. Unlike many of the gooseneck options, shimmy is minimized by the construction of the mount. This 6 inch mount includes a cradle that surrounds your GPS but allows full access to all power and ports. The suction cup is designed to hold onto any smooth surface using a twist lock that ensures a good solid adherence.

Customer Reviews:

2 out of 5 stars Good idea, but some problems   April 5, 2008
This works, but the stem does not hold weight well and the unit 'flops' and puts the GPS onto my dashboard. I have to arrange the extension in such a way that it will be properly positioned for visual convenience when it is laying on my dashboard.

It's also difficult to get the gps in and out of the unit. It 'snaps' in securely, which can require two handed operation to shove the GPS into the unit. Sometimes such force is required that my passengers (who handle it for me while I drive) are jarring the power cord loose. I know when I'm trying to get the unit out, I feel like I have to practically break the plastic unit to angle the GPS out of the 'snap-in' plastic unit.

But with all of this, the concept still works. It adheres to my window and doesn't drop off, the heavy GPS is held tightly and it doesn't jar loose or wiggle around, and I can drive for hours without worrying about the unit. So if you are prepared for the stiff plastic, you'll have a good GPS holder.
