The cd arrived in three days, and updating my gps was a breeze, I had no problems and everything is working fine. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

I purchased the Garmin 2009 Update for my brother-in-law for Christmas. He has been pleased with it. No problems installing and it had been several years since he bought the Garmin without an update, so it's made a big difference in finding current locations.
2009 Garmin Nuvi Map update January 6, 2009
I found that this map update was exactly what I needed on my unit since it was already 2 years old. I did end up getting my garmin update at autonavdirect.com as they are direct garmin dealers and I bought my unit from them awhile back. Glad to have the update on my unit so now I do not have to spend several hundred dollars on a new unit. Thanks
Check First - There are two City Navigator 2009 Updates January 6, 2009
There are two City Navigator 2009 updates. The difference is in the data formatting. One version is NT, the other not. Call Garmin first and check which version works with your GPS unit.
One version is titled "City Navigator North American NT Map Update 2009."
One version is titled "City Navigator North America 2009 MapSource Update."
Almost identical names but they are NOT interchangeable.
I bought the NT version, it arrived from Amazon quickly, but it wouldn't work with my handheld eTrex unit. I called Garmin. They were very helpful, understood immediately, sent me the correct version at no cost, the replacement arrived in three days, and it works great.
Save yourself some time and call ahead.
