1 out of 5 stars European Palm sent/could not plug in/customer service has no clue in what to do, phone service stunk-disservice   January 28, 2008
Received product on time. Instead of an american Palm, I received a european one. I cannot plug it in as I do not live in Europe and there is no American converter cord. I e-mailed customer service over a week ago and received NO response. I called customer service the day I received the produce and after trying to explain the error and need for a different Palm that would plug into an outlet in my home, for over 30 minutes, I gave up. She couldn't have been more clueless and did not find it necessary to afford me the opportunity to speak to a supervisor that just might have a clue as to how to solve my problem. I ordered that Palm and needed to begin using it the day it was received. It now sits on my kitchen table, packed in the European box, just waiting for me to hear back from you. I have ordered many things from Amazon and I can tell you honestly that after this horrific experience that I may very well never order from you again. After many attempts at correcting this problem of receiving the wrong version of the Palm I ordered, I sit here, well over a week later, waiting for a response to your error.

5 out of 5 stars Garmin MetroGuide   December 31, 2007
I use this software to upload and download tracks to/from my 76CX and it works fine. I use the GPS for off-roading and just about every dirt road out there is on the MetroGuide map. I don't use it around town much so I don't need the more advanced auto-routing features that the more expensive software has. For the price, this one works for me.

1 out of 5 stars No Montreal Metro Stations!   October 26, 2007
Got this for a recent trip to Montreal, Canada, and was shocked and amazed to discover that the map does NOT include **ANY** Montreal Metro stations! Weirdly, the surface AMT railway stations are included, but to get around downtown on foot, you really need the Metro stations so this map is useless if you plan to use your Garmin device to get around Montreal without a car.
Total waste of money in my case.

5 out of 5 stars MetroGuide North America V7   September 4, 2007
I purchased the Vista to replace my old ETrek that I took with me to Iraq. The Old ETrek Screen was going out so I had to buy another one since the cost of repairs would be equal or greater than the cost of a new one.
I purchased an Etrek Vista from [...] then I decided to purchase the additional software. After reading some reviews off the [...] Web site, I wrote down the part number and went to my local Best Buy and purchased it.
I down loaded the Web Updater from the Garmin web site then I updated my Vista with the maps that I need. I then decided to try to do something that I throught that only the manufacturer could only do I tried to read my ETrek.
I was able to copy all my old saved WayPoints from my Old ETrek, Software 2.14 needed to do this, to my computer then I was able to transfer them into my ETrek Vista. Now I can tell my friends how far Baghdad is from them.
I never would have dreamed that I could have done this, I thought that I was going to lose the WayPoints of where I had been at in Iraq forever, now I can preserve them. The Old ETrek next destination is the Ohio Veterans Home Museum.

3 out of 5 stars Street numbers backwards!   August 2, 2007

I only used maps one time. While in Gatlinburg, TN, I used my Etrex (loaded with MetroGuide). On the map of the street where my motel was located, the street numbers were backwards. The blocks were in the right order, but a store that I was looking for was located at the wrong end of the block! Guess that's one for the updates!
