No reception September 17, 2008 Purchased them for a cruise and upon receipt I did everything according to the setup and no reception. I wanted to return them but I have no idea how to for a refund. Please let me know how I can return them. Sincerely I wish they had worked
clear and easy to use January 24, 2008 Only using them for a short distance, room to room inside, but they work fine. clear and easy to use. Like the 'code' feature so you know you are only talking to the intended recipient.
audio quality poor June 20, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
years ago I bought a motorola frs radio (fr 60?) and it worked great! I've purchased some recent radio and the sound quality (transmit and receive) is horrible. It's very hard for people to understand what's being said and much more difficult to communicate. People say the transmitter audio is too quiet and I have to speak up. And whether quiet or loud, it sounds garbled.
I'm looking for a better one, probably not motorola. Too bad, I loved the older ones.
"Push to Talk Timeout " after 60 seconds May 16, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great product all around, except for one significant WARNING!
The T5500 and the T5200 both have an automatic cut off after 60 seconds of continuous transmission... For our uses, we can't do VOX due to the delay... We need the transmission "hot" from one radio, all the time.
I'm very frustrated at not learning this until I read the manual... This info is NOWHERE on the product descriptions, or on the Motorola web site... Their sales staff didn't even know when I called them directly, and it wasn't in their database.
Again, good product... But, this is a major oversight.
A Christmas Gift January 11, 2007 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I assume this is fine -- it worked when I tested it before wrapping them for Christmas presents. And I was happy to find this item since they are not readily available in my local stores.
