Amazon.com Product Description Ideal for extreme outdoor, marine, and field use, iGage's weatherproof paper absorbs ink in almost any situation, including underwater. The paper is made of a coated, single-layer, porous synthetic film with inherently superior ink absorption qualities, regardless of whether you're using a standard ink pen, highlighter, whiteboard marker, or permanent marker. Simply scribble or jot your handwritten note onto each puncture- and tear-resistant page, and you'll enjoy permanent, indelible results. As an alternative, users can also run the paper through an inkjet or laser printer, where the base film bonds tightly with the ink and toner to produce highly defined, richly colored images. Users can even write on the paper when scuba-diving or snorkeling by using a gas-charged space pen. Because of the waterproof surface, the paper excels as a base for maps, signs, banners, medical charts, ID tags, hunting permits, and more. In addition, the material won't peal over time, so you won't need to seal any edges or laminate any printed pieces. The paper even folds and glues easily while fitting inside most copiers--just like traditional paper--and withstands both the embossing and laminating process should the need arise. So do away with paper and ink that run at the first sight of a sprinkle and protect your vital information with iGage's waterproof paper. Note: The paper doesn't bond with pencil lead or certain types of inks (depending on the type of printer ink you use), so be sure to order in small quantities at first. This particular bundle includes 50 sheets of 8.5-by-11-inch paper.

Great Paper, Great Deal November 28, 2008 I purchased this paper to print star maps for our cub scout pack. I had printed a few copies on weatherproof paper that my husband bought at our local office supply store. I purchased this paper for less than 1/2 of what he paid, and the quality is just as good. I didn't test the weatherproof aspect, but durability is apparent. Great deal.
great stuff September 30, 2008 We are using this for labels on our yarns. Works great. Won't have to redo if labels become damp.
Definitely Weatherproof August 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This paper worked very well for me. I have printed maps and satellite photos of hiking trails on this paper using my inkjet printer. The images look great. Out of curiosity, I tested its weatherproof-ness by running it under the faucet. The only way I could get a little ink to run was if I heavily rubbed an area with my thumb while under running water. But even then, the image didn't smear because the loosened ink didn't re-adhere to the paper. This paper is also very strong and resists tearing. If you try to rip it like normal paper, it will only stretch a bit. Folds easily.
Waterproof Yes, smudge proof, no June 13, 2008 I purchased the paper for use in geocaches, don't know about geocaching? Google it! The log sheets in caches are handled by many , folded and refolded and often exposed to the elements. I use a Canon Pixma 4000 inkjet imprinter with genuine Canon ink to print a full color log sheet. After some experimentation I have found the paper to be very tough. It is thicker than normal paper, and much more durable, it won't tear, which is perfect. The problem is with the ink absorption. The ink doesn't get absorbed completely. I've tried different settings, allowing the paper to rest after printing, for hours, all with the same results...ink all over my hands.
Fine images also don't print with good resolution either, with the ink "pooling" and bleeding fine elements of graphics together.
I am going to try different ink jet printer to see if I can get better results. I am disappointed in the performance thus far. I will update if results change.
