 poor sound, poor construction December 22, 2008
haven't tried other waterproof headphones, but these were definitely disappointing. very poor sound, and to top if off, they broke after only a few sessions - probably week wires/connections that cause one ear bud to stop working.
don't buy...

I'm very disappointed that Freestyle Audio put these junkers with their waterproof mp3 player.
First off, I will concur that once water gets in your ear, you can forget about these. So once they fall out (and they will eventually), it's over.
Second, my left ear's audio just stopped working after 3 swims.
Don't buy these, and if you get a Freestyle Audio mp3 player (I like mine), start looking at the other waterproof earpiece reviews. My next purchase will probably be these Aquapacs:

Broke 1st day April 3, 2008
The earbud piece snapped off while changing tip size within the first 5 minutes -- returned, not exchanged.

I just got the FA player and the earbuds came with it and had 3 different size tips. They stay in while I'm running, but it took a while to get them to stay while swimming - I had to lace them through my goggles. They played fine even after they got water in them (shake 'em out, good as new). On my first few kickturns, they popped out so I just went to regular turns and they stayed in for 45 min. If you are doing a sport that may require a helmet, look into the can-can-earflaps at www.shredready.com.

They broke while I was replacing the ear buds the first day I had them. OMG these things are so cheap!!!
