This item greatly enhanced the voice clarity of my MIO and also makes it much simpler to remove MIO from the cradle. Power cord also attaches to cradle simplifying the removal of the MIO from the car.

Definately a nice addition to my GPS purchase. Only complaint is that the US package did not already come with this item and a carrying case like the European package. The power cradle is a vast improvement to the cheap basic cradle that comes with the GPS unit and the sound quality and volume level is much better. I added some of my own photos that would have made my buying decision a lot easier. I like to see the features, not just read about them.

Unlike our friends across the pond, our version of C520 only comes with a simple device holder. While the device holder works, it isn't nearly as functional as the power cradle.
The built-in speaker definitely provides a better sound. If you also use Mio C520 as MP3 player, you will immediately notice the difference in sound quality. For daily driving, it also provides better voice guidance.
The power cradle has built-in mini-USB power jack. Together with the quick release button, installing and removing C520 is now a simple click action instead having to plug and unplug the car charger every single time.
All the mio windshield pedestal and car charger are compatible with the power cradle. There is no need to purchase additional parts and works right out of the box.
