This is one of the better products for sale, although I do not know if it is made in China or not. If so, I want to know how many chinese use this radio? So far, as I live in the mountains of the North West United States, I have not witnessed it working a whole lot. There just is no traffic on the airwaves where I live, even with the outdoor whip antenna. So, I cannot tell you how it works, 'cause I have never heard anything but weather reports so far. I just make my decision based upon the name of the product. This is why it is necessary to protect your name as often it is all one has to show the world.
